  2. Where we have exact store locations, we use them to cut down on backtracking.
  3. Swap or remove any stop you aren't feeling, then open the route in Google Maps when you're ready to go.

The fun part is that inventory changes every day, so the route can guide the adventure but never predict what you will find.

Google Maps URLs are used only when you click a route button. On mobile browsers, Google supports up to three intermediate waypoints, so longer thrift days are split into route parts.

How to plan a thrift shopping route

A thrift day is usually more fun when the stops are a little different from one another. A nonprofit store can give you volume and practical household finds, while an independent vintage or consignment shop can make it faster to search for a particular style. The planner mixes store types by default so you are not simply visiting several versions of the same shop.

Two hours is usually enough for about three focused stops. A half day gives you more room to browse five stores, take a coffee break and change plans if one shop is a miss. A full day can support a longer list, but opening hours, parking and travel time matter more as the route grows.

Why the route is a suggestion

We're gradually mapping more stores. When several suggested stops have exact locations, the planner uses them to cut down on unnecessary backtracking. We leave uncertain map details alone rather than guessing, and Google Maps calculates the final route when you open directions.

Make the trip your own

Swap any stop that doesn't fit your plans or remove it to make the day shorter. The share link keeps your city, filters and customized stop choices, while leaving out the optional starting point. Saved trips are stored only in the browser you're using.
